Say where you need to go
Name the kind of help you need, then show your map location or address to reduce confusion.
“Bệnh viện” means hospital, “phòng khám” means clinic, “nhà thuốc” means pharmacy, and “đồn công an” means police station. “Tôi cần đến bệnh viện” means “I need to go to a hospital.”
If you need an ambulance, “xe cấp cứu” means emergency vehicle or ambulance. Say “Tôi không biết địa chỉ” (“I do not know the address”) if you cannot give your location; ask someone nearby to read the map or hotel address aloud.
Ask someone to call emergency services
This short phone exchange states the urgent problem first, then gives a helper your current location.
You Tôi bị thương. Tôi cần xe cấp cứu! I am injured. I need an ambulance!
Helper Bạn đang ở đâu? Tôi sẽ gọi cấp cứu ngay. Where are you? I will call emergency services now.

Make your limits understood
You can be direct without being rude when the situation is urgent.
“Tôi không nói được tiếng Việt” means “I cannot speak Vietnamese.” Follow it with “Bạn nói tiếng Anh được không ạ?” (“Can you speak English?”) or show a translated note with your symptoms, allergies, and emergency contact.
Regional pronunciation varies, but the written words “bệnh viện”, “nhà thuốc”, and “cấp cứu” are broadly useful. If you are helping another person, ask consent when possible and let trained local responders take over.
